Abiding in the Vine
What Is Your Source? James 3:11-12
Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
A fountain cannot produce two different waters from the same place. Whatever it is connected to underground determines what comes out above ground — our patience, our words, our habits, our choices in the quiet hours nobody sees. The source always shows itself eventually.
